"Cult of the Dead"

Films: Messiah of Evil (1973)

Alias: Various, most notably the Messiah of Evil

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: A whole town full of vampires. Just what we wanted to see. Where's the next left out of here?

History: Arletty's father has gone missing ever since he visited Point Dune, California. As it turns out, that place is crawling with vampires. All of them are led by the "Messiah of Evil", an ex-Donnor Party member who gave in to vampirism in the 19th century and plans to spread his religion of cannibalism across the coast.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Arletty is driven insane not only by all the chaos, but the folks demanding that she tell the world of their religion. She's locked up in an asylum for that.

Powers/Abilities: Can convert others into becoming vampires and instill curses.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-It's a whole town of blood-sucking devil worshipers. These guys will not rest until you are either one of them, or the messenger of their impending carnage.

Trivia: -The Donnor Party refers to a group of pioneers heading for California that ran into just about every obstacle they could. Some resorted to cannibalism, even.

-This film was also known as "Dead People", "Return of the Living Dead", "Revenge of the Screaming Dead", and "The Second Coming".
